Warriors confirm Leuluai breaks jaw
Wigan scrum-half Thomas Leuluai has broken his jaw for the second time in five months.
Leuluai left the field early in the second half of Sunday’s 42-22 win against Catalan and scans have confirmed the injury.
Wigan boss Shaun Wane said Leuluai will see a specialist later this week to discover the extent of his latest injury setback.
The 31-year-old still has plates in his jaw which were inserted after he suffered a double fracture playing for New Zealand last November.
The news is another headache for Wane as the Warriors prepare to face Castleford on Saturday.
Jake Shorrock would have been in line to replace Leuluai, but he has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a knee injury.
