Charity cyclists hitting the road again

A group of dedicated fundraisers are set to embark on their most ambitious charity challenge to date as they bid to make a difference to people’s lives.

Starting on Wednesday 17th May at the Halliwell Jones Stadium, a group of enthusiastic cyclists will visit every UK based Super League club en route to the annual Magic Weekend extravaganza in Newcastle.

Raising money for the Warrington Wolves official charity, the Wolves Foundation, the group will aim to conquer over 300 miles in three days as they head across the country – adding an extra 120 miles from previous years.

The Wolves Foundation is a registered charity working within the local community through the umbrella of sport in four key areas – health, education, young people and social welfare.

It uses its relationship with the club to enhance and promote their fantastic work, using the rugby players and mascot Wolfie as ambassadors for their projects.

Wolves Foundation Director Neil Kelly said: “Over the years many people have undertaken fundraising challenges to raise money for the Wolves Foundation and this is definitely one of the toughest, both physically and emotionally.

“The funds raised by the cyclists will change the lives of the local community by providing innovative projects that help the Warrington community lead healthier and happier lives.”
