Percival’s late show downs Wigan
Mark Percival’s late try gave St Helens a dramatic 22-19 victory over Wigan on Thursday.
The Warriors led 14-12 at the break courtesy of tries from Tom Davies and Lewis Tierney, with Ryan Morgan and Zeb Taia replying for Saints.
Joe Burgess extended Wigan’s lead, before the host tied things up through Percival’s first score.
Tommy Leuluai’s drop-goal looked to have secured the win for Wigan, but Percival went over with two minutes left to seal the points for Saints.
The result moves Justin Holbrook’s team to within one point of the Warriors.
