Bowden frustrated by Hull’s defeat
Josh Bowden admitted Hull’s 26-22 defeat at home to Leigh on Friday left the players feeling very frustrated.
A strong end to the game saw Albert Kelly get the home side back within a score of the Centurions, but it was not enough to rescue the result.
“We said at half-time that we didn’t start like we should have done and it’s come back to bite us at the end because we finished quite well,” Bowden told the club’s official website.
“Radders (Lee Radford) asked for a response from last week, which we showed in patches, but it’s really disappointing not to get anything from the game.
“We needed to hold the ball and complete our sets better. Leigh did that and we just ended up defending all the time and that’s why they got away with the win.
“We’ve no time to dwell on it, we’ll move on to Catalans now.
“With your preparation everything is speeded up. We’ll get very little time to worry about the opposition, we’ll just focus on what we need to improve and move on.”
