Talanoa delighted with Fonua’s return

Fetuli Talanoa believes Mahe Fonua’s return is a major boost to Hull’s hopes of success this season.

Fonua has been named in the 19-man squad for Friday’s trip to Salford after recovering from injury and Talanoa expects his teammate to have a major impact on Hull’s fortunes during the rest of the campaign.

“It will be a big boost Mahe coming back into the side,” he told the club’s official website.

“He offers a lot both in defence and in attack, and he’s hard to handle, too, so it’s good to have him back in the side.

“Salford have been playing well all season and it’s no surprise that they are where they are on the ladder, so it’s going to be a big task for us to go there but all the boys are up for the challenge.
