Leigh favourites to stay in Super League

Leigh are the bookies favourites to win the Million Pound Game and keep their place in Super League.

They rounded off The Qualifiers with a comprehensive win at London on Friday night, which guaranteed them a home berth in the do-or-die match this weekend.

Their opponents were confirmed as Catalans on Saturday, after the Dragons were beaten 12-10 at home to Widnes, who secured their survival with victory.

Super League sponsors Betfred have Leigh as 8/15 favourites.

It is the first time either of these sides have appeared in the Million Pound Game.

Last season, Salford won away at Hull KR, while in 2015 Wakefield defeat Championship side Bradford to preserve their Super League status.

This year’s match takes place on Saturday at Leigh Sports Village, 3pm kick-off.
