Olstrom stays with Whitehaven

Whitehaven have handed a new one-year deal to former Workington loose forward Karl Olstrom.

Olstrom, 25, made 10 appearances for his hometown club last season having made the switch from Derwent Park.

Head coach Carl Forster said: “We’re happy to retain Karl for another 12 months.

“At the end of the season we got the best out of him and we’re looking forward to having that kind of player for the full season next year.

“His ability is unreal and we’re confident he can be a big part of our success next season.”
