Every Super League transfer already confirmed for 2025 and beyond with 22 deals finalised after Micky McIlorum’s Hull KR move

The transfer merry-go-round in Super League is in full flow, with 22 transfers already having been announced for 2025 and beyond.

Love Rugby League has compiled this article of every transfer that has been *officially* confirmed and announced by their Super League clubs, so that doesn’t include every player that has been rumoured or linked with moves.

And because Wakefield Trinity aren’t in Super League – as things currently stand – their signings of Tom Johnstone, Mike McMeeken, Cam Scott and Olly Russell aren’t in this piece (yet).

Note that this also doesn’t include those departing Super League clubs to head over to the NRL, like St Helens half-back Lewis Dodd and Warrington Wolves back-rower Matty Nicholson.

Without further ado, here’s every Super League transfer that has already been confirmed for 2025 and beyond…

John Asiata (Leigh to Hull FC)

The Leigh captain has signed a three-year contract with Hull FC from 2025 to help spearhead the club’s rebuild under newly-appointed head coach John Cartwright, who he worked with whilst at North Queensland Cowboys in their NRL Premiership-winning season in 2015.

Asiata, who has represented Samoa and Tonga on the international stage, helped the Leopards lift the Challenge Cup at Wembley last year.

Tom Burgess (South Sydney Rabbitohs to Huddersfield)

This move stunned the rugby league world when it was announced before a ball was kicked back in February. Burgess has penned a three-year contract with the Giants from next season in what is a major acquisition for the club.

The 32-year-old will be the third of the four Burgess brothers to make the return to Super League during their playing days after their time in the NRL, specifically with the Rabbitohs.

His brother Luke enjoyed spells with Catalans and Salford at the end of his career, whilst George had a brief stint with Wigan in 2020. Sam never returned as a player, but he is currently the head coach of Warrington.

Ryan Hall (Hull KR to Leeds)

Rhinos legend Hall will return to Headingley next year after four seasons with Hull KR, signing a one-year contract with Leeds for 2025.

Hall, who turns 37 in November, won six Super League Grand Finals with Leeds between 2008 and 2018 as well as two Challenge Cups and a World Club Challenge.

Esan Marsters (Huddersfield to Salford)

Plenty of Salford fans were getting excited about this move when it was announced by the Red Devils, and understandably so given the form he’s in this season.

Marsters, who has represented New Zealand and the Cook Islands internationally, has penned a three-year contract with Paul Rowley’s side from 2025.

Louis Senior (Hull KR to Castleford)

Louis Senior joined his twin brother Innes at the Tigers earlier this season. Louis arrived at Castleford from Hull KR whilst Innes is on loan from Huddersfield.

It’s been announced that the twins will make their loan moves permanent at the end of the season, having signed two-year contracts with Craig Lingard’s side starting in 2025.

Innes Senior (Huddersfield to Castleford)

The Ireland international has impressed upon arriving at the Jungle on a loan deal from Huddersfield, and as mentioned above, h will make his loan move permanent at the end of the season, signing a two-year contract with Castleford alongside his twin brother Louis.

The Senior twins seem to have really benefitted from getting regular game-time under their belts at Castleford.

Jared Waerea-Hargreaves (Sydney Roosters to Hull KR)

The three-time NRL Premiership winner will get his first taste of Super League in 2025 after penning a one-year contract with Hull KR.

Waerea-Hargreaves, who has won 33 caps for his native New Zealand, will bring over a wealth of experience to Craven Park, having played more than 300 games in the NRL since his first-grade debut for Manly Sea Eagles back in 2009.

Tom Davies (Catalans to Hull KR)

Both of Catalans’ frontline wingers have now been confirmed to be leaving the club at the end of this season. Johnstone is returning to West Yorkshire for a second stint at Wakefield Trinity, while Davies is also on the move.

A transfer that had been mooted for some time, he has signed a long-term deal with Hull KR from the beginning of 2025 to continue his career back in England.

Jordan Abdull (Hull KR to Hull FC)

He’s spent the season out on loan in the south of France with Catalans Dragons but, in 2025, Jordan Abdull will be back in Hull.

However, it won’t be with the club he’s contracted to now, after Hull KR allowed Abdull to leave the Robins to return to Hull FC for a second stint in black and white.

Tommy Makinson (St Helens to Catalans)

Another significant deal that had been rumoured for some time, Makinson will swap the club with whom he has spent his entire career for the south of France in 2025.

The former Golden Boot winner will make the move to Perpignan to join Catalans, having had a stellar career with St Helens in which he has won every domestic honour available.

Amir Bourouh (Salford to Hull FC)

It has been confirmed that Salford hooker Amir Bourouh will join Hull FC on a three-year contract upon the expiry of his contract with the Red Devils at the end of the season.

The 23-year-old, who hails from Halifax, has made 28 appearances for Salford since arriving from Wigan ahead of the 2022 season.

David Armstrong (Newcastle Knights to Leigh)

Leigh Leopards have pulled off a major signing in the shape of Australian speedster David Armstrong from NRL side Newcastle Knights on a three-year deal from 2025.

The Knights made no secret of their desire to keep hold of the electric fullback, who can also play on the wing, but the 23-year-old will be heading to Super League next year with the Leopards. It’s safe to say Armstrong has impressed Down Under having made his NRL debut earlier this year.

Nick Cotric (Canberra Raiders to Catalans)

Catalans Dragons have pulled off a major coup with the signing of former Australia international Nick Cotric on a three-year deal from 2025.

The 25-year-old centre, who won two caps for Australia in 2019, has scored 63 tries in 149 appearances in the NRL for Canterbury Bulldogs and Canberra Raiders. Cotric, who is of Serbian heritage, represented New South Wales in the State of Origin arena in 2019.

Eribe Doro (Bradford Bulls to Hull KR)

Hull KR have signed highly-rated prop Eribe Doro from Championship side Bradford Bulls on a two-year contract from next season.

The 23-year-old, who came through the academy at Warrington Wolves, has established himself as one of the Championship’s premiere props since his move to Odsal from Halifax Panthers midway through the 2023 campaign.

Ollie Partington (Salford to Catalans)

Catalans Dragons have confirmed the acquisition of Ollie Partington from Salford Red Devils on a two-year deal as of 2025.

The 25-year-old has excelled in the ball-playing role at 13 in Paul Rowley’s side since his arrival from hometown club Wigan in 2023. An England Knights international, Partington made 92 appearances for the Warriors prior to joining Salford, and has since played 34 games for the Red Devils.

Zak Hardaker (Leigh to Hull FC)

Former Man of Steel Zak Hardaker will make the move to Hull FC from Leigh Leopards on a two-year deal from 2025.

The former Great Britain and England international has made more than 350 career appearances, scoring more than 1,100 points to date.

Ed Chamberlain (Leigh to Hull FC)

Ireland international centre Ed Chamberlain has penned a three-year deal with Hull FC as of next season, arriving at the MKM Stadium from Leigh Leopards.

Chamberlain, an academy product of Widnes Vikings, will return to Hull in 2025 having enjoyed a brief loan spell with the Black and Whites earlier this season.

Oliver Holmes (Leigh to Hull FC)

Hull FC have confirmed the signing of experienced back-rower Oliver Holmes from Leigh Leopards on a two-year contract from 2025, keeping him at the MKM Stadium until the end of 2026.

The one-time England international, who came through the ranks at boyhood club Castleford Tigers, is approaching the 300-game mark in his career.

Elliott Whitehead (Canberra Raiders to Catalans)

Canberra Raiders captain Elliott Whitehead will return to Super League next year after putting pen to paper on a contract with his former club Catalans Dragons for the 2025 season.

The 34-year-old has spent the last nine seasons with the Raiders and is approaching the 200-game milestone for the NRL club. He was won 31 international caps in total for Great Britain and England.

Luke Keary (Sydney Roosters to Catalans)

Former Australia and Ireland international Luke Keary has made a u-turn on retirement, instead signing a two-year contract with Catalans Dragons from 2025.

The 32-year-old halfback will bring a wealth of experience to Steve McNamara’s side, having made more than 220 appearances in the NRL for South Sydney Rabbitohs and Sydney Roosters, having won three NRL Premierships and three World Club Challenge titles. As well as representing Australia and Ireland on the international stage, Keary has also represented New South Wales in the State of Origin arena.

Bill Leyland (London to Hull KR)

Hull KR have signed Maidstone-born hooker Bill Leyland on a two-year contract from London Broncos from 2025.

The 21-year-old was ruled out for the entire 2024 campaign following an ACL injury sustained in pre-season, but Leyland was a standout player for the Broncos in their promotion-winning season in 2023, scoring 13 tries in 32 appearances.

Micky McIlorum (Catalans to Hull KR)

Super League’s 22nd confirmed signing for 2025 was one of the most surprising, with veteran hooker McIlorum – who will turn 37 before next season gets underway – agreeing to go around again as he penned a one-year deal with KR. McIlorum has spent the last seven campaigns in Perpignan, but now looks likely to round his career off at Craven Park.

The Robins acquire a veteran with two Super League titles to his name as well as three Challenge Cups, and a vastly experienced figure who is closing in on the milestone of 400 career appearances, with caps for both England and Ireland on his CV.
