Whenever you see your team nilled in a game, it’s never a pleasant experience. But how often has each side had to taste that feeling this year in Super League?

All 162 ‘regular’ Super League games in the 2024 season have now been played out.

Of those 162 matches, just 18 saw a team nilled, with seven different clubs kept scoreless.

We know what you’re thinking, it’ll just be the bottom seven on the actual Super League ladder.

Spoiler alert: It isn’t!

Here’s how the ranking – from least to most – for ‘nillings’ looks at the time of writing on September 22:

Note 1: This is for Super League games only.

Note 2: Where one or more teams are locked on the same number of ‘nillings’, we’ve separated them by points scored from highest to least.

      • Wigan Warriors 36-0 London Broncos: Round 15 (June 21)

      To state the obvious, for a side to be nilled in a game, another team has to be the ones to keep them at bay.

      So, to wrap things up, we thought it only fair to throw some praise the way of the six Super League teams who have nilled at least one opponent so far in 2024.

      Wigan lead the way having nilled opponents four times in the league this year.

      Catalans, Hull KR and Warrington each ended the ‘regular’ campaign with three Super League ‘clean sheets’ to their name, while St Helens have two.

      Castleford and Leigh are the other two clubs to have kept an opponent scoreless in Super League this term, each doing so once.

      Accordingly, the five top flight teams failed to keep an opponent scoreless in 2024. Those are: Huddersfield, Hull FC, Leeds, London and Salford.
