The Mirror broke the news that Toronto Wolfpack had sacked forward trio Fuifui Moimoi, Ryan Bailey and Dave Taylor just 18 days before the Betfred Championship season gets underway.
Mirror Sport revealed that the Candian club have been on a pre-season training camp in Portugal. This probably won’t be the last time you’ll hear about this situation.
The Daily Star revealed in an exclusive that Rugby League players are to finally get their own trade union.
Former professional player Gareth Carvell, who is relaunching the Rugby League Players’ Association, told the Daily Star: “We’re now getting almost 100% buy-in from the players. They want to have a voice.”
