Zak Hardaker grabbed the headlines at the end of Wednesday as it was confirmed by Castleford that he had been sacked, following his suspension for drugs use. Rumours of a move to Wigan have just stepped up a notch.

Plans to hold a Super League game in New York this season are off – catch up with all the latest in our Off the Record gossip column.

Wigan confirmed the release of prop Frank-Paula Nuuausala, whose future has been under speculation for virtually the entire off-season.
