Neil Jukes ended his long association with Leigh on Monday, resigning as head coach after their third defeat in four games to start the Championship season. We’ll have a look at some contenders to succeed him soon.

The seemingly endless and ongoing structure debate was the subject of speculation in the week’s trade papers, after Championship and League One clubs voted on a united front against Super League plans to run with two professional leagues and cut the third tier adrift to amateur status.

Toronto Wolfpack have started to promote their first home game of the season – which will take place at the New River Stadium in London. Reni Maitua is their latest signing.

They might have had a difficult start to the Championship season, but off the field at least, the future is looking bright for Sheffield, who are the subject of our latest expansionist blog.

Leeds’ injuries dominated the discussion after their defeat to Widnes on Sunday, and they are hopeful of welcoming back ex-Vikings prop Anthony Mullally, Carl Ablett and Tom Briscoe on Friday, says the Yorkshire Evening Post.

The Hull Daily Mail runs a piece on something we know already – that Sky Sports are missing a trick not televising the Championship. Please, someone, somewhere, sort this out already.
