Whitehaven sign young St Helens hooker on loan
Whitehaven have signed St Helens hooker Josh Eaves on an initial month’s loan deal.
Eaves, 20, played 25 times for Saints’ reserve and academy sides last season and was part of the unbeaten academy championship winning side in 2016.
Head Coach Carl Forster said: “It’s good to have him, he adds much needed depth to the squad and allows Dan to concentrate at full back with Jordan being injured. He’s quick, clever and a workhorse in the middle.”
The former Clock Face amateur goes straight in to contention for Whitehaven’s League One clash away at Coventry on Sunday.
