Danny Brough facing lengthy ban for abusing match official

Huddersfield star Danny Brough is set to serve a three to five-match ban after being handed a Grade D charge for verbally abusing a match official.

The Scotland captain was sent off for dissent in the Giants’ 30-12 defeat at home to Salford Red Devils on Sunday.

If the 35-year-old is found guilty of abusing a match official, he could be sidelined for three to five games.

Meanwhile, England and St Helens centre Mark Percival has received a one-match penalty notice for disputing a refereeing decision in Saints’ defeat at Wakefield Trinity.

No further action will be taken on Huddersfield back Lee Gaskell after he was charged with a Grade A high tackle.

Salford prop Lee Mossop also will not receive any further action after he was handed a Grade A charge for dangerous contact.

Hull FC pair Danny Washbrook and Masi Matongo have received cautions for dangerous contact in their win at Widnes.
