Hull FC ace Jake Connor ruled out for season
Hull FC star Jake Connor has been ruled out for the rest of the season after suffering a high-grade hamstring tear.
The 23-year-old picked up a high-grade hamstring tear in Friday’s loss to St Helens and is highly likely to miss the rest of the campaign.
Connor had been the only ever-present player for the Black and Whites this season, following an unlucky couple of months with several injuries.
Meanwhile, the club are assessing the fitness of forwards Mickey Paea and Chris Green who picked up injuries against Saints on Friday.
Albert Kelly will definitely miss Sunday’s trip to Wakefield Trinity with concussion.
Kelly is one of 12 first team players currently on the treatment table.
On Hull’s injury crisis, FC coach said: “I’ve said it all season, I’ve never known anything like it.
“We’ve got 12 or 13 players missing this week, it’s one of those seasons but we’ll keep battling on and keep fighting until there are no more fights left.
“It’s up to the boys that are selected to keep putting their best foot forward but when we’re playing 13-30 against 1-17 then the quality can shine through.
“It is disappointing for Jake, he has been excellent this season but that is the way our season has gone so far.
“Hopefully we can get a few bodies back on the field over the next few weeks.”
