Leigh forward Jamie Acton picks up seven-match ban
Leigh front-rower Jamie Acton has been banned for seven matches after pleading guilty to a Grade E intentional strike with his elbow.
The 26-year-old pleaded guilty to a Grade E intentional strike with his elbow on Batley Bulldogs half-back Tom Hemingway last weekend.
An independent operational rules tribunal have suspended him for seven games and fined him £250.
Elsewhere, Toulouse Olympique star Rhys Curran pleaded guilty to but challenged the grading of a Grade D dangerous throw charge in their game against London Broncos.
The tribunal agreed that the grading was correct, and the player has now been suspended for four matches and fined £250.
London Skolars forward Mike Greenhalgh pleaded guilty to but challenged the grading of a Grade E dangerous throw charge in their recent match against Coventry Bears.
