Six Tackles: Favourites to win the Lance Todd Trophy

Here at Love Rugby League, we have selected six players who could potentially lift the Lance Todd Trophy at this years Challenge Cup Final.

DARYL CLARK (WARRINGTON WOLVES)

The 2014 Steve Prescott Man of Steel winner will be looking to add to his personal honours by securing the Lance Todd trophy in this years Challenge Cup final.

The Wolves hooker has been in sensational form in 2018 – with many tipping him to win another Man of Steel honour.

Since moving to Warrington, Clark has only won the League Leaders shield (2016) – can he add to his list of honours?

JOSH DRINKWATER (CATALANS DRAGONS)

The former London and Leigh man has been a revelation for the Dragons in 2018.

The French outfit began the season poorly after losing their first 8 Betfred Super League games.

However, after the acquisition of the Australian halfback – the Dragons haven’t looked back.

Can Drinkwater lead the Dragons to their first major trophy?

TYRONE ROBERTS (WARRINGTON WOLVES)

The Wolves marquee signing will be hopeful of finishing his Warrington career as a Challenge Cup Champion.

With the halfback due to join up with the Gold Coast Titans in 2019 – this will be his last chance at achieving glory in Rugby League’s most prestigious competition.

Will Roberts help the Wolves win at Wembley?

MICHAEL MCILORUM (CATALANS DRAGONS)

The former Wigan man has won the Challenge Cup twice before (2011,2013), so is no stranger to success.

His outstanding display in the Challenge Cup semi-final has allowed the Dragons the chance to make history.

Can Mcilorum make it a night to remember for the French faithful

STEFAN RATCHFORD (WARRINGTON WOLVES)

The Fullback is another star player for the Wolves who will be looking to dictate the game on Saturday.

Having tasted Challenge Cup success in 2012 – the former Salford man will be one of the favourites to win the Lance Todd Trophy.

Can Ratchford be the man of the match at Wembley?

TONY GIGOT (CATALANS DRAGONS)

The French international has been in brilliant form since his return to Perpignan.

He will now be looking to elevate his second tenure with the Dragons with a win at Wembley.

His form in 2018 has been one of the reasons the Dragons are staring down the barrel of causing a cup upset.

Can he conquer the Wolves and lift the Lance Todd Trophy?
