Wakefield silence rumours linking Bill Tupou with Castleford
Wakefield chairman Michael Carter has quickly put to bed reports that linked Bill Tupou with a move to rivals Castleford.
Trade newspaper League Weekly reported that the Tigers have failed in a bid to sign Trinity centre Bill Tupou.
But Wakefield chairman Michael Carter quickly put a stop to the speculation linking fan-favourite Tupou with a move away from the club.
Carter tweeted: “@LeagueWeekly can I just say that I have not had one conversation at all with anyone at Cas regarding Bill Tupou.
“I have a great relationship with Mark Grattan & Jon Wells and this has NEVER been discussed.
“Bill is contracted to us for two more years, he is very happy & is NOT for sale.”
A Tonga international, Tupou has scored 36 tries in 84 games in his three seasons at Wakefield.
