Fiji ace Waqa Blake commits future to Penrith

Penrith Panthers have announced that Waqa Blake has agreed a new four-year contract extension with the club.

The Fiji centre will now remain with the Panthers until at least the end of the 2023 season.

Blake made his NRL debut with the Panthers and has scored 33 tries in 78 appearances.

On his new contract, Blake said: “I’m so grateful to have the opportunity to commit my future to the club.

“Panthers is home for me now and I really couldn’t see myself playing anywhere else.

“I love the Panthers’ fans, I love my team-mates and I love the culture we have here at the club.

“I’ve got a lot of belief in this team and what we can achieve over the next few years.”

Blake made his international debut for the Bati at last year’s World Cup.
