Brett Carter commits to Barrow for 2019

Scotland international Brett Carter has signed a new deal with Barrow for the 2019 season.

Carter, who can play on the wing or at full-back, has signed a new one-year contract with the club.

The Cumbrian has been at his hometown club since joining from Workington Town in 2017.

Barrow have released a short statement, it read: “Brett acknowledges that the club have strengthened significantly in the outside-backs but has backed himself to win a regular place in the starting line-up.

“Barrow almost have their initial squad complete for the season with just one remaining signing proving tougher than expected to get over the line.

“The Raiders feel they have a competitive squad with a much better balance with competition for places in every position.”

Carter has scored two tries in five games for Scotland.
