Adam Hills makes rugby league documentary
Comedian and Physical Disabled Rugby League player Adam Hills has revealed that he has made a rugby league documentary.
Adam Hills: Take His Legs is a new documentary that will be screened next month about the team he captains, Warrington Wolves, and their journey; including their trip to Australia to face Russell Crowe’s South Sydney Rabbitohs.
Their clash in August 2018 was the first-ever international club challenge in the Physical Disability Rugby League, and the sport has gone strength to strength, also appearing at 2019 Magic Weekend hosted at Liverpool’s Anfield.
“Playing Physical Disability Rugby League has been one of the greatest adventures of my life,” he said.
“I’m so glad we brought a camera with us, because it took me to places I never expected. Like Wakefield. More than that though, it has shown me the power that sport has to change lives.”
The 60-minute, one off special will air on Channel 4 at 11:30pm on Friday, December 13.
