Adrian Lam calls Rob Burrow a “hero”
Wigan coach Adrian Lam has praised Rob Burrow as a “hero” following their clash against Leeds in the Super League.
Wigan players wore a special embroidered shirts for Sunday’s match against Leeds in support of Rhinos legend Rob Burrow, who was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease in December 2019.
Wigan’s shirts will soon be auctioned off via the Wigan Warriors Community Foundation eBay page, with all proceeds being donated to the Rob Burrow Fund.

Lam said: “We’re proud as a club to do things in situations like this with Rob being a hero to everyone, not only to people here in England but right through the world in rugby league.
“For us to acknowledge that in the tough times that are ahead, we wanted to make sure that he felt a part of tonight and still a part of rugby league and whatever we could do to help in that situation and his family and everyone involved in rugby league; we did that.
“We spoke about it during the week to be honest and it was a nice touch from the club and we’re very proud of him.”
