Agar positive about Rhyse Martin impact
New Leeds signing Rhyse Martin is set to go straight in to the squad for tonight’s Super League clash at Castleford.
Martin, 26, joined the club on a two-and-a-half year deal from Canterbury Bulldogs last weekend, and arrived in the country on Wednesday.
Agar said: “He got off the plane in pretty good nick. He’s very much in the mix to play. He’s a great guy and really positive about the impact he can have on our side.
“He’s had one very short team run, in that 15 minutes we could feel that energy, going to be very important after tough game last week and a five day turnaround.
“We’ll keep it simple for him, we’ll keep the job nice and clear. He’ll play probably alongside a player in Rob Lui that he’s played with before, they’ve already got an understanding.”
Martin has played 11 times in the NRL this season, most recently in Canterbury’s defeat to Sydney Roosters on June 16.
