NRL All Stars: Albert Kelly named in Indigenous squad to face Maori
Former Hull and Hull KR half-back Albert Kelly has been selected in the Indigenous squad to face the Maori in this year’s NRL All Stars clash.
Kelly, who now plays for Brisbane Broncos, has been selected for the Indigenous All Stars for the first time in his career.
The All Stars match will be played in Sydney for the first-ever time on Saturday, February 12 at the CommBank Stadium.
Laurie Daley has selected Kelly in his squad alongside the likes of NRL superstars Josh Addo-Carr, David Fifita, Kotoni Staggs, Nicho Hynes and Alex Johnston.
The Maori side is also stacked with NRL talent, with Chanel Harris-Tavita, James Fisher-Harris, Joseph Tapine and Kodi Nikorima all proudly representing their heritage.
The match will be a double-header alongside the women’s teams. Shaylee Bent, Tamika Upton, Keilee Joseph and Quincy Dodd have been called-up by the Indigenous side.
For the Maori, Kennedy Cherrington, Botille Vette-Welsh, Corban Baxter and Zahara Temara are all set to feature.
