Baitieri and Mounis to lead the Dragons

Loose forward Jason Baitieri will co-captain Catalan in 2014, alongside Dragons veteran Gregory Mounis.

Baitieri, 24, joined the club in 2011 from Sydney Roosters, and will fill the role left behind by Remi Casty.

Mounis, 29, is the first player to have surpassed the 200 Super League game mark with Catalan, and he is set to enter his fourth season as co-captain.

Dragons head coach Laurent Frayssinous had this to say:

“Both are natural leaders, and are very highly respected players within our group.

“They are an example on and off the field, and I think they complement each other very well.

“They will be heavily supported by a number of other players who show great leadership.”
