Barlow call-up makes it three sets of brothers for Scotland
Swinton forward Josh Barlow‘s call-up to the Scotland squad means Steve McCormack now has three sets of brothers at his disposal.
Barlow, 22, has been called up as a replacement for the injured Jonathan Walker, and joins brother Sam in the party. Ironically, Walker’s brother Adam is also in the squad.
On Monday, Workington half-back Callum Phillips was called up to join his club-mate and brother Brett, and brothers Ian and Andrew Henderson in McCormack’s 24-man squad.
McCormack said: “Josh has been an important part of the squad the last couple of years. He finished the season really well and fully deserves his call-up for Scotland.”
Barlow, who can play anywhere in the forward pack, has won four caps over the past two seasons, and has previously played for Wigan and Huddersfield at academy level.
