Batley cruise to Crusaders win

Batley has secured an 18-point win over North Wales today in friendly action.

The Bulldogs ran in six tries and used a total of 22 players in their first hit-out for 2016.

The Crusaders took an early lead, through Danny Jones, but Batley hit back through Danny Cowling.

Alistair Leak and Shaun Squires then crossed for the home team, followed by Cain Southernwood.

Tommy Johnson replied for North Wales but then Bulldogs winger Chris Ulugia extended the Championship club’s lead.

Danny Rasool responded for the Crusaders but the final try went to Dave Scott, with Dominic Brambani taking the final score to 36-18 with the last kick of the game.
