Batley offer FREE entry for Jo Cox memorial game
Batley will generously open their gates for free in Sunday’s Jo Cox memorial game against Sheffield.
The Bulldogs take on the Eagles in a highly-anticipated Championship clash at the Fox’s Biscuits Stadium on Sunday, June 16 (3pm).
In a game that celebrates the life of former Batley and Spen MP Cox – there will be live music, a dance for Jo, hot food and drinks, family friendly bar areas, kids rides and actives and much more.
There will also be the sporting heroes project finale which includes local clubs Batley Boys and Batley Cricket.
Politician Cox was murdered in 2016 after being shot and stabbed multiple times in Birstall by neo-Nazi Thomas Mair.
The Bulldogs will put on the event for the Batley and Spen community to come together and celebrate the life of one of its most valued people.
