Bird and Broughton injury blow for Catalans

Catalans have been dealt a double injury blow following Friday’s defeat at Leeds.

Winger Jodie Broughton has suffered a torn bicep and could be out for as long as six months.

Greg Bird, who has had an impressive start to his second stint with the club, has been ruled out for six to eight weeks with a broken thumb.

Both players will undergo surgery next week.
