Broncos name five-player leadership group

London Broncos have named five players as part of their leadership group for the 2015 season, with Nick Slyney and Richie Mathers sharing on-field captaincy duties.

Ben Farrar has been named as the Broncos’ club captain, while Wes Naiqama and Luke Adamson are also included in the five-man senior players group.

 “I’m really pleased to have Nick and Richie as our captains for the season ahead,” said London head coach Joey Grima.

“They both have the respect and have a sound understanding of rugby league, my decision was made mainly on the way they can encourage and bring out the best in the squad.”

“Ben Farrar is a true professional and very diplomatic and someone that values where the club is heading.

“He implements the best change management policies and is someone I have worked with in the past, and someone I know can work with the executive staff to ensure we are heading in the right direction.

“Wes and Luke make up the senior players group and will add to the experience of the on-field captains. We meet together once a week to discuss player issues and training programs, and during pre-season this has worked well.”
