Brown and Barlow suspended
Kingstone Press Championship players Simon Brown and Josh Barlow have each been suspended for four matches after appearing in front of an RFL Operational Rules Tribunal.
Brown, of York City Knights was banned for four matches and fined £50 after using foul and abusive language to a touch-judge during a Northern Rail Cup tie against Doncaster on May 19. He admitted to using foul and abusive language, was found to be in breach of Operational Rule D1.8c and the RFL’s Respect Policy.
Swinton Lions player Barlow was also suspended for four matches and fined £50. He pleaded not guilty to the Grade E offence of biting George Flanagan of Batley Bulldogs in the 35th minute of the Kingstone Championship fixture on June 9.
