Bulls appeal date set over points deduction
Bradford will find out whether their appeal against a six point deduction has been successful early next month.
The Bulls were handed the penalty for entering administration, and their appeal will be heard by an independent Sporting Sanctions Appeal Panel on Wednesday June 4.
A club statement said: “Club officials were last month informed their right of appeal against the six-point deduction, suffered earlier this year, had been granted by the sport’s governing body, the Rugby Football League.
“Bradford Bulls can make no further comment on the matter until the conclusion of the process.”
A source close to the club says they are expecting the penalty to be reduced by at least two points.
The Bulls currently occupy one of the two relegation spots, and are eight points adrift of Wakefield in 12th place.
