Burgess blow for Rabbitohs
Luke Burgess will be sidelined for at least three months after picking up a foot injury in South Sydney‘s Charity Shield defeat to St George.
Prop Burgess suffered a fracture in his right foot during the second half of the Rabbitohs’ 18-12 loss on Saturday night.
In a statement, the Rabbitohs management said Burgess would be out of action for between 12 and 14 weeks.
Burgess joins a growing injury list that includes the likes of Scott Geddes, Greg Inglis, Fetuli Talanoa and Nathan Merritt.
Luke’s brother Sam made an impression on the match crossing for two tries although it was not enough to overcome a classy Dragons outfit.
