Burgess lands one match ban
England forward Sam Burgess will sit out South Sydney‘s clash with Wests on Saturday after picking up a ban.
Burgess, 21, has enjoyed a solid first season Down Under since his move from Bradford in the close season.
However, he was cited for a dangerous tackle during the Rabbitohs’ game against Canterbury on Friday, and the club have taken an early guilty plea on the grade two offence.
It gives Burgess 187 disciplinary points and means he will miss the game against the Tigers at ANZ Stadium at the weekend.
