Burke and Aspinall extend Sheffield deals

Sheffield have extended the loans of Jordan Burke and Peter Aspinall until the end of the season.

Utility back Burke joined from Warrington on an initial one month loan, and now stays on a week-to-week basis, while forward Aspinall is on loan from Huddersfield.

Eagles Head Coach Mark Aston said: “I’m pleased we’ve been able to extend both Jordan’s and Peter’s deals.

“Jordan gives us another option across our backline, which we need with Menzie (Yere) now facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

“The same came be said for Peter with our front row. We still have a number of injuries in the forwards as well with Michael Knowles joining Eddie Battye, Joe Hirst and Ben Jones to name a few on the sidelines.

“Both have done the job so far for us but now we know they will be with us for the remainder of the season we can hopefully integrate them more into the squad and learn our systems and techniques.”
