Warrington boost
Warrington winger Matty Ashton missed Sunday’s defeat to Salford – but coach Daryl Powell is confident he will be available for Magic Weekend.
The speedster was ruled out with a shot-term glute injury, but he could return for Sunday’s Magic clash with Catalans Dragons.
The Wolves are also expected to welcome back str half-back George Williams for Magic Weekend. He sustained an ankle injury in captain’s run prior to the Salford game but is expected to return to the fold this weekend.
Last week, it was confirmed that Warrington forward Joe Philbin has been ruled out for the rest of 2022 with a knee injury.
McNamara return

The 20-year-old told Hull Live: “Magic Weekend has been my goal ever since I started getting back into training. I’m really looking forward to it, I feel fit, I feel good.”
Trueman blow
Castleford half-back Jake Trueman produced a stellar display in their win over Huddersfield. However, he was forced to leave the action early through injury.
Speaking after the game, Tigers coach said Trueman was taken off as a precaution after feeling his knee jar and will be assessed further this week.
Makinson hamstring
St Helens winger Tommy Makinson suffered a hamstring injury in their loss to Catalans Dragons in the south of France.
Saints coach Kristian Woolf said the England international felt his hamstring tighten up. The club are hoping it is nothing too serious, and will look to identify the extent of Makinson’s injury this week.
Salford update
Salford hooker Andy Ackers left the field with an elbow injury in their win at Warrington on Sunday afternoon. The extent of his injury is not yet known, whilst winger Joe Burgess also missed the game through injury.
