Catalans suffer Matt Whitley injury blow

The former Widnes forward, who left the field at half-time on Saturday, has undergone scans to determine the extent of the injury and, although he does not need surgery, no time has been given for his rehabilitation.

A statement from the clubs said: “The MRI has shown a small injury in his neck that will mean he needs a period of treatment and rehab with the club medical team.

“His recovery will determine his availability.”
