Cavaliers try machine handed pro deal
Oxford have signed centre Jack Briggs from local amateur club Oxford Cavaliers.
Briggs, 23, can also play on the wing, and has spent the past five seasons with the Cavaliers, and finished the league’s top scorer in 2012.
He said: “It was unexpected and is an amazing feeling, it is great that professional rugby league is heading to Oxford.
“My aspirations for the season is to keep working hard, I am new to the game but I am looking forward to the challenges ahead and working with Tony and the rest of the coaching team.”
Oxford‘s first game in Championship 1 comes against fellow new-boys Gloucestershire All Golds on March 29th.
