Five Challenge Cup sixth round ties to be televised
Five of the eight Betfred Challenge Cup ties in the sixth round will be televised, the Rugby Football League has confirmed.
The West Yorkshire derby between Leeds and Castleford will be shown live on the BBC on Saturday, March 26 (4:30pm).
The Rhinos defeated the Tigers 23-10 at Wembley in 2020. Castleford suffered defeat in the final again last year at the hands of St Helens.
On Sunday, March 27, the BBC cameras will be in Barrow. Championship club Barrow will host Super League side Huddersfield (4:30pm). The Giants haven’t reached the final since their 2009 defeat by Warrington.
Premier Sports will show the all-Super League tites between Wigan and Salford on Friday, March 25 (7:35pm) as well as Warrington’s tie against Wakefield on Sunday, March 27 (2pm).
The Sportsman will stream cup holders’ Saints visit to Championship side Whitehaven on Saturday, March 26 at 2pm.
Saints’ last visit to the Recreation Ground came in 2001 when they overcame a spirited Haven 34-22 en route to the Challenge Cup final.
