Champ & L1: Grix commits to Halifax, Hey joins Hunslet & West Wales sign Army prop

Championship
Batley signed goal-kicking half-back Joe Sanderson from Hunslet ahead of the 2021 Championship season. The former Leeds academy player scored more than 500 points in 56 games for the Parksiders.
Halifax duo Scott Grix and Oliver Waite have signed new deals with the club. Ireland international Grix, 36, will enter his third year of his second spell with Halifax. Back-rower Waite, 19, has represented England at youth level.
Whitehaven have signed prop Andrew Dawson on a one-year deal. The 31-year-old has previously enjoyed spells at Barrow and Workington.
League 1
Doncaster half-back Ben Howe has signed a new one-year deal for the 2021 campaign. The 19-year-old impressed on trial with the Dons at the start of last season before signing a permanent deal with the club.
Hunslet have announced three more of their squad members for 2021. They have signed back-rower or centre Brad Hey from Championship side York and centre or winger Will Cooke from Keighley. The Parksiders have confirmed that Liam Copland has agreed a new one-year deal with the club.
West Wales Raiders have signed Army prop Alex Hicken for the 2021 season. The Welsh club have also announced that Dafydd Phillips has signed a new deal with the club.
Workington have announced three more members of their squad for next season and beyond. Prop Tom Curwen has committed to Town for 2021, while Alex Young and Blain Marwood have signed two-year deals.
