Here’s a club-by-club guide to all Championship 2023 squad numbers ahead of the season kicking-off on February 4.

Barrow enjoyed an impressive return to the Championship in 2022, ending the year in the play-offs. During the off-season, head coach Paul Crarey has added several additions to his squad, including Greg Burke and Jack Wells from Salford.

Rio-Osayomwanbo Corkill, Ellis Archer and Luke Broadbent all join their hometown club for 2023.

Halifax’s 2023 squad includes 11 players who have played on the international stage.

James Woodburn-Hall, who played in Jamaica’s first-ever Rugby League World Cup last autumn, has been given the number one shirt at Halifax. Other players include Scotland’s Lachlan Walmsley (2) and Ben Kavanagh (11), alongside Italy’s James Saltonstall (5), Ryan King (17) and Jake Maizen (22).

Newcastle Thunder have revealed a much-changed squad ahead of the 2023 Championship season, under new coach Chris Thorman.

Thunder have said goodbye to no fewer than 13 players since the end of last season.

Allan Coleman has confirmed a 26-man Swinton squad for their return to the Championship, having won promotion via the play-offs from League 1 last year.

Kenny Baker headlines the recruitment, joining from Widnes. Jake Spedding has also made the short move from the DCBL Stadium.

Other new signings include Gavin Bennion (8), Josh Eaves (14) and Ollie Olds (19).

Toulouse have only confirmed a 20-man squad for their upcoming campaign, having suffered relegation from Super League last season.

Hull KR’s Greg Richards completed the squad earlier last week, making the move to France on a season-long loan.

The Cumbrian club have made eight new signings ahead of the new Championship campaign.

Australian duo Lachlan Lanskey and Lucas Castle will wear the number 12 and 22 shirts following their move from Down Under. Fijian powerhouse Lasarusa Tabu, who has joined Haven from French club Carcassonne, has been given the number 16.

Jamie Doran has made the switch to his hometown club Whitehaven after eight seasons with Workington.

Tom Gilmore will wear shirt number seven for his return to Widnes in 2023. The half-back rejoined on a two-year deal following two years with Batley.

Former Ireland international Kyle Amor has made the move to go part-time in 2023 after spending nine seasons with Super League giants St Helens. He will wear 10 for Widnes.

Tonga international Ata Hingano will wear shirt number six after making the permanent move from Leigh. He previously featured on loan at the club last season.

New recruit Jesse Dee has received the number four shirt following the Australian’s move from Newcastle Thunder. Off-season recruits Jon Luke Kirby and Conor Fitzsimmons will wear eight and 10 respectively.

Brendan O’Hagan, who was given shirt number 14, has since left the club to return to Australia
