Championship One Preview: London Skolars v South Wales Scorpions

London Skolars coach Joe Mbu could give a home debut to Irish student international James Kelly in Saturday’s Kingstone Press Championshp One clash against South Wales Scorpions.

The Skolars have lost their last four matches, while South Wales came agonisingly close to claiming their first win of the season when they met Gloucestershire All Golds last week.

Scorpions coach Mike Grady said: “I’m pleased with our progress, but it’s just our individual errors that are letting us down. As soon as we cut those out, we’ll start getting results.

“There’s no pressure on us, we’ve just got to try to improve each week.”

On London, Grady added: “They’re up and down, a bit of a mixed bag, but we struggled against them last time we met. Most teams in this league can beat anyone on their day.”

Grady expects to name an unchanged squad, with veteran Neil Dallimore making a successful return to action last week.
