Channel 4 confirm latest pick as coverage of Round 25 in Super League announced; St Helens, Leeds, Leigh and Wigan all to feature
Channel 4 will show Warrington Wolves’ trip to Salford Red Devils as one of three Super League games broadcast in Round 25.
Paul Rowley’s side will now host the Wolves on Sunday, September 10, rounding off the weekend’s action, with the full schedule now confirmed.
Channel 4’s seventh live game of the season will get underway at 12.45pm BST. They are permitted to screen 10 Super League clashes in total this year, with RL Commercial Director Rhodri Jones exclusively telling Love Rugby League earlier this week that the plan is to have more free-to-air games from 2024 as part of the new TV deal.
Sky Sports’ Picks for Round 25 in Super League
As usual, Round 25 will also see two games broadcast by Sky Sports, with the first of those a re-run of last month’s Challenge Cup semi-final between St Helens and Leigh Leopards.
The Leopards came out on top in that meeting, and also did so in their first Super League clash of the year at the Leigh Sports Village.
Saints will look to make it third time lucky against Adrian Lam’s men in 2023, with both sides building for the play-offs. There is no change to the schedule, with the game at the Totally Wicked Stadium still taking place on Friday, September 8 with an 8pm BST kick-off.
Sky’s second pick of the weekend however does see some change to the fixture list, with Wigan Warriors’ trip to Leeds Rhinos being pushed back a day.
That will now take place live in front of the cameras on Saturday, September 9 with a 2.45pm BST kick-off.
The two clubs had planned a double-header at Headingley on Friday night with their women’s teams set to face off prior to the men’s meeting. It is not known whether that will be the case anymore following the change though.
