Chase and Smith hoping to wreak havoc

Rangi Chase is thrilled to be playing alongside Tim Smith, and expects Salford’s new half-back partnership to surprise Super League in 2014.

Chase, 27, and Smith, 28, are both new arrivals at the Red Devils but Chase believes the gelling process between the two has gone well.

“Tim is a great bloke, and a fantastic player, and when you play alongside quality players, you lift your game,” explained Chase.

“We understand each other, we each bring something different to the team, and I predict that we will surprise quite a few people out there.

“It is a pleasure playing alongside him, and we’re both excited about this future partnership.”
