Chris Dean pens new Widnes deal
Widnes centre or back-rower Chris Dean has signed a two-year contract extension at the Halton Stadium.
Dean, 30, impressed in the opening day win over Catalans which earned him a spot in our Super League team of the week.
He has played for the Vikings in every season since their return to the top flight back in 2012.
Coach Denis Betts said: “Chris is and has been an integral part of our squad since he arrived at the Club. It is a huge boost for everyone at the Club to have Chris at the Vikings for another two years.
“Following his performances this year, it is clear for everyone to see why he was sorely missed by us last year during his injuries. We look forward to working with him this year and for the next two.”
The former Orrell St James junior came through the ranks at St Helens, making 23 first team appearances, and also spent a season at Wakefield.
