Conditioner Smith follows Robinson to Roosters

Catalan’s Head of Strength, Conditioning and Nutrition, Keegan Smith, has followed former coach Trent Robinson to Sydney Roosters.

Smith, who has been with the Dragons since 2011, makes the move to the NRL to be re-united with Robinson ahead of the 2013 season.

Australian Robinson opted to leave Catalan for the Roosters having led the French side to two consecutive play-off appearances.

Smith said: “I’m really proud to have had the opportunity to work with the players, staff and the management of the Catalans Dragons. I’m looking forward to this new challenge at the Roosters and I will be watching the progress of the Dragons in the future.”

Robinson’s successor, former French international Laurent Frayssinous, said: “I wish him all the best in the future. He worked really hard here and was really close to the players. He helped them to improve their performances individually and to change their lifestyle. I discover with him a different approach of Strength and Conditioning, focused on speed, power and strength.”
