Contract extension for Keighley coach
Keighley head coach Craig Lingard has signed a one-year contract extension.
Lingard, 40, joined the club from Batley ahead of last season and is now committed to Cougar Park until the end of 2019.
A club statement said: “The club are delighted that Craig has extended his stay with the club by a further twelve months and are looking forward to the next two years under his tenure.”
Keighley finished seventh in League 1 last season, though did pick up a notable draw at home to rampant Toronto Wolfpack.
The former Bramley Buffaloes head coach spent time as assistant to John Kear while at Batley, where he spent his entire playing career, becoming the club’s all-time leading try scorer.
