Coventry bring in Scotland World Cup hopefuls
Coventry have signed Scotland World Cup hopefuls Niall Sidney and Jed Charlton from Newcastle Thunder.
Winger or full-back Sidney, 22, came through the City of Hull academy before joining Thunder. He is a Scotland international and will be hoping to represent the Bravehearts at next year’s World Cup.
Coventry coach Richard Squires said: “Niall is another product of the Newcastle Thunder who has also spent time with the City of Hull academy.
“Scoring 14 tries in eight games on his debut League 1 season, he has the natural ability to score points. With bags of natural talent, he is very coachable and willing to learn.”
