Coyle wants Whitehaven to bounce back against Broncos

Whitehaven head coach James Coyle wants his side to bounce back with a good performance against London Broncos this weekend.

Whitehaven were beaten 60-6 by league leaders Leigh Centurions last weekend, leaving the club second bottom of the Kingstone Press Championship with just six points from their opening eight games.

The defeat to the Centurions has left Coyle wanting a response from his side when they come up against another side in good form in the form of Andrew Henderson‘s London Broncos

“We need a reaction after that because we weren’t very good,” Coyle said.

“Leigh are a good side but we’d have been confident in going there and doing a better job. To get beat by so many and concede in the way we did is disappointing so we need to improve.

“You can’t go into any game undercooked. You’ve got to be playing well to get a win anywhere in this league. London are a good side and are full-time so should be strong and well-drilled. They look sharp at the minute so it’s going to be a tough ask for us.”
