Craig Huby announces retirement
Prop forward Craig Huby has announced his retirement from rugby league.
Huby, 33, left Wakefield Trinity earlier in July with mutual consent after making 50 appearances for the club, scoring three tries.
He made his professional debut in 2003 with Castleford Tigers, and has also appeared for Huddersfield Giants, and announced his retirement via social media.
“Well, the time has come to end my rugby career,” he announced on social media.
“After taking the specialists advice on my shoulder injury I won’t be playing any more. It’s been a great journey and want to thank everyone who has helped along the way! It doesn’t seem like two minutes since my debut at Headingley!”
